What You Can File a Grievance About

The Grievance Officer handles complaints related to:

  • Inaccurate or misleading vendor listings
  • Content that violates our Terms of Service
  • Copyright or intellectual property violations
  • Privacy violations or misuse of personal information
  • Fraudulent vendor activity
  • Harassment or abuse by any user
  • Any other violation of IT Rules, 2021

How to File a Complaint

Email your complaint to grievance@csvn.in with:

  1. Your full name and contact details
  2. Description of the issue
  3. URL(s) of the specific content or listing
  4. Evidence (screenshots, documents, if applicable)
  5. Expected resolution — what you want us to do
  6. Declaration that the information provided is accurate

What Happens After You File

  1. Acknowledgment — You receive an email confirming receipt within 24 hours.
  2. Investigation — Our team reviews the complaint, contacts relevant parties if needed.
  3. Decision — We determine the appropriate action (remove content, warn vendor, suspend listing, etc.).
  4. Resolution — You receive a written decision within 15 days.
  5. Appeal — If you disagree with the outcome, you can escalate to the Grievance Appellate Committee (gac.gov.in) as per IT Rules, 2021.

For Complaints About Specific Vendors

If your complaint is about a specific vendor’s conduct, please note:

  • CSVN is a directory platform and is not a party to any transaction between you and a vendor.
  • We can remove a listing if it violates our Terms, but we cannot mediate commercial disputes.
  • For commercial disputes, contact the vendor directly or approach consumer forums.

Data Protection Complaints

For complaints about how your personal data is handled, you may also contact:

  • Data Protection Board of India — under the DPDP Act, 2023

Report Incorrect Information

For routine corrections (wrong phone number, outdated address, etc.), email report@csvn.in. These are typically resolved faster than formal grievances.
